Music of Spain & Latin America, the debut recording from classical guitarist Hilary Field, was an award winner for Classical Album of the Year by the National Association of Independent Record Distributors. This CD features music by Morel, Villa Lobos, Ponce, and Albeniz, and concludes with the tranquil Afro Cuban Lullaby. Guitar Player Magazine heralded the "strong dance inspired rhythms and immaculate tones" and Maurice Summerfield, founder of Classical Guitar Magazine, described the CD as "a delightful recording by this young guitarist from the West Coast of the USA. Field's performance of Morel's beautiful 'Sonatina' is probably the best recorded version available."

"Like the debut recording, Ballad Stories is a technically seamless recording of an instrumental virtuoso playing beautiful music. That combination has resulted in a collection of exquisite instrumental music. It is beyond my ability to find fault in any aspect of this production, which is certain to make Field again a contender for national music awards." - South Sound Sounds
